CNR PRESENTS AT THE 2026 NEW JERSEY COASTAL & CLIMATE RESILIENCE CONFERENCE

Date: March 09, 2026

At the 2026 New Jersey Coastal & Climate Resilience Conference, the Center for Natural Resources (CNR) presented its work on advancing urban flood resilience, showcasing data-driven flood models developed to help address flooding across more than 10 municipalities in New Jersey.

The presentation highlighted how flood-risk modeling, data analysis, and municipal-scale tools are being used to support flood mitigation planning and resilience efforts across communities in the state. Under the direction of Dr. Michel Boufadel, the CNR team continues to bridge the gap between advanced modeling and practical flood mitigation strategies.

Beyond the presentation, the conference provided valuable opportunities to engage with municipal leaders, practitioners, and resilience experts, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in advancing climate adaptation and flood resilience across New Jersey.
