CNR meets with the City of Rahway to discuss REACH Flood Mitigation Strategies

The Center for Natural Resources (CNR) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology met with the City of Rahway to discuss local flood problems and potential mitigation strategies through the REACH (Resilience Excellence and Capacity Hub) program.

The meeting brought together representatives from Rahway municipal departments, NJ OEM, and NJIT CNR researchers to review stormwater challenges and evaluate opportunities to strengthen community flood resilience.

Discussions focused on improving stormwater infrastructure, applying REACH tools and data to support long-term planning, and identifying actionable strategies to enhance preparedness across the city.
