The Center for Natural Resources (CNR) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology met with officials from the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management (NJOEM) and Paterson OEM to visit flood-prone locations and discuss mitigation strategies. The visit included a review of recent flooding impacts, stormwater conditions, and priority areas for infrastructure investment, particularly near St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.
The collaboration between CNR, Paterson OEM, and NJOEM is part of an ongoing statewide effort to help New Jersey communities better prepare for floods by creating data-driven mitigation plans that promote safer, more prepared communities.
