CNR meets with the Borough of Westwood to discuss REACH Flood Mitigation Strategies

The Center for Natural Resources (CNR) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology met with officials from the Borough of Westwood as part of the REACH (Resilience Excellence and Capacity Hub) program to discuss local flooding concerns and mitigation planning efforts.

The discussion focused on stormwater management challenges, flood-prone areas, and local infrastructure needs within Westwood.
CNR and municipal partners explored how REACH flood-risk modeling, data collection, and analytical tools can be used to support planning, evaluate mitigation strategies, and improve long-term resilience.
