The Center for Natural Resources (CNR) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology met with officials from the Township of Cedar Grove to initiate collaboration under the REACH (Resilience Excellence and Capacity Hub) program.
The kick-off meeting focused on local flooding concerns, stormwater management challenges, and data needs within Cedar Grove. CNR and municipal partners discussed opportunities to apply REACH flood-risk analytics and mitigation tools to support informed planning, enhance preparedness, and strengthen long-term community resilience.
CNR and REACH team members meet with Township of Cedar Grove officials to discuss next steps, including flood data collection, modeling improvements, and potential mitigation strategies as part of the REACH program. 
CNR presents preliminary flood-risk mapping and spatial analysis for Cedar Grove, reviewing priority areas and discussing how data-driven tools can support local planning and resilience efforts.
